The Children’s Theatre Association of San Francisco was established in 1934 as an all volunteer, non-profit women’s organization dedicated to providing live musical theatre for school children in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly for those who might not otherwise experience it.

Shrek The Musical
Join the Children's Theater Association of San Francisco as they present "Shrek the Musical for Young Audiences" coming in January 2027.
Beauty is in the of the ogre in Shrek The Musical for Young Audiences, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek The Musical is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.
Performances run from January 30 through March 6, 2027. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets on sale mid- September.
